Preface

In Order to Achieve the Visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, May God Protect Him, The Jordanian Group For Free & Development Zones Focused on Developing The Local Communities of Free Zones & Development Zones by Attracting Productive & Qualitative Investment Projects That Support Sustainable Socioeconomic Development In The Kingdom

Making a Qualitative Leap in The Lives of Citizens, and Providing Work Opportunities for The Local Communities’ People, Which Leads To Improving Living Standards, and Contributes to Alleviating the Negative Effects of Unemployment. Therefore, This Plan Has Come with Programs and Initiatives that Are Sustainable to a Large Extent, Leaving a Long-Term Impact.

Concept of Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility Can be Defined As: the Commitment of the Group to Play Its Role Towards the Community & the Environment in which It Operates, And To Contribute To Meeting Needs & Solving Problems, As This Role Is Characterized by Comprehensiveness, Sustainability and Continuity, And Is Dominated by a Voluntary Administrative Character and Is Not Limited to Charitable Work, But Is Adopted by the Group of Its Own Volition as a Part Not Its Management Culture Is Divided Into Two Dimensions, One of Which Is Internal: (Employees, Shareholders, Owners, Managers...) and the Other Is External: (Customers, Suppliers, Competitors, Society and The Environment as a Whole). The Group Operates Within a Responsible Framework that Benefits All Its Parties and Stakeholders, Thus Forming a Voluntary Moral Contract to Carry Out Its Duties to Achieve the Public Interest within the Framework of Comprehensive Sustainable Development.

The Group’s Executive Plan for the Social Responsibility Includes the Implementation of Programs, Initiatives and Activities of Social Responsibility Towards the Local Communities Surrounding the Free Zones & Development Zones, Including the Various Spectrums of These Communities and Their Demographic Characteristics.

This Dimension Is Intended to Focus on the Economic Aspects Related to Contributing to Meeting the Material and Financial Needs of Local Communities Through Practices That Are Subject to Institutional Governance, And Non-Profit Initiatives Targeting Those Communities.

Dimension of Empowerment and Rehabilitation Needs of Local Communities

This Dimension Is Concerned with Meeting Some Knowledge Needs in Relation to Initiatives That Include Implementing Training Programs and Workshops to Provide Awareness and Guidance as Preventive Measures and Develop Individual Skills.

Dimension of Health Needs

This Dimension Is Concerned with Contributing to Meeting the Health Needs of Supporting Health Centers and Providing Some Devices, Equipment and Medical Supplies to Local Communities According to Their Needs.

Dimension of Environmental Needs

This Dimension Includes Concern for the Environment and Nature and Their Preservation, And Interest in Preserving the Sources of Their Sustainability.

Dimension of Educational Needs

This Dimension Focuses on the Educational Needs of the Local Communities in Terms of Educational Infrastructure, such as Equipping Some Classrooms, Carrying Out Maintenance Work, Equipping Laboratories, Providing Educational and Sports Supplies...Etc.

Dimension of Cultural and Sporting Needs

The Activities of This Dimension Focus On Spreading Awareness and Culture Among Members of the Local Community in General and Those Working in The Group in Particular, according to Their Actual Needs, And Supporting, Organizing and Implementing Various Activities for Sports Activities.

Dimension of Social Responsibility at The Level of the Group’s Employees

This Dimension Is Concerned with Paying Attention to The Internal Social Environment of the Group, Including Its Employees and Workers from Various Administrative and Technical Levels. This Dimension Focuses on Organizing and Implementing Social, Educational, Health, Cultural, Sports and Environmental Events.
